“We Are the Game !”
2nd European Football Fans’ Congress
17-19 July 2009 in Hamburg, Germany
In July last year more than 250 football fans from 27 countries, from Norway to Israel, from Portugal to the Ukraine, came together for the first time to kick-off the formation of an independent and representative European network of football fans at the 1st European Football Fans’ Congress in London.
We discussed all sorts of issues around topics such as fan culture, policing, ticketing, anti-discrimination and club ownership and started to identify important areas for future activities of a united body of football fans in Europe that is able to speak up and campaign on all issues relevant to us.
To get this process going, a Steering Committee consisting of fans’ representatives from eight different countries across the continent was appointed to take responsibility of the next steps.
